OUR 63RD ANNUAL BENEFIT

Last Sunday, we got together for the Mills College Club of New York's annual benefit - the weather was perfect (until the thunderstorm started) and the company - fantastic...Friendships were rekindled, joys, family events and celebrations were shared and companionship was the order of the day.

A special thanks goes out to this year's organizers for the event, Arabella Buckworth and Naomi Gardner who found a the beautiful location in Brooklyn Heights, served fantastic wine and food (which was abundant and LOVELY) and to Nancy Kennedy, who so generously provided the musical entertainment for the afternoon.

The event was extremely well attended and the room was buzzing with conversation, laughter and just a really great vibe...Gurpreet Tung, the Advancement Relations Officer from Mills College's Office of Institutional Advancement shared news with us about enrollment at the College and brought Mills College a little closer to the East Coast.

We were also thrilled to have several Mills Men attending who generously supported the event. I (Calia) was the auctioneer (again...calling all potential Mills College auctioneers...let me know if you are interested!!) and was thrilled and moved by the support of our generous alumnae who contributed so much to our scholarship fund. As a recipient of a scholarship, myself, this is a cause that is very near and dear to my heart - so I am truly truly grateful to all who gave and if you weren't able to attend, please consider a contribution for fiscal 2016.

You won't need to wait long, because we will be having another Thirsty Thursday, on November 17th, and this time we will be celebrating Molissa Fenley's birthday - so please join us.
